Як рэчы ідуць, life changed a bit and my wife and I had a daughter in June 2010. This caused us to change our plans for moving and as I write this we are still planning the move to Bangkok in December June or July 2011.
Так, if you’ve come here looking for information about the food scene in Bangkok and Thailand or looking for recipes of Thai food I apologize, that will be coming in the future I need to apologize. There’s no restaurant reviews yet, but I have started adding some Thai recipes which I hope you’ll enjoy. You can also feel free to check out my wife’s Thai food blog Дзіўны Тайская харчавання where she shares the authentic Thai recipes she learned to make growing up in Thailand.
And as of February my wife has kindly offered to get me a new Nikon 3100 for my birthday so the quality of the pictures here should be increasing dramatically as I learn to properly use the camera. I may even touch on what I learn about food photography if anyone seems interested. That’s all for now, back to dreaming about warmer weather and spicier food :>)
Nice blog, looking forward to its inevitable expansion once you finally make it out here.
Дзякуй! I’m looking forward to finally getting out there and expanding too
Thanks for your lovely feedback. I have added you to my blog roll. I am really looking forward to your food venture in Bangkok. I have been there several times myself, so can appreciate the cuisine, culture and food through your eyes.
I’ve added you as well and I hope I am able to do Bangkok justice in your eyes and hopefully bring back some good memories for you.
Прывітанне Стыў,
Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog, I’ve added you to my foodie blog list as well.
I’m looking forward to your posts (I’ve subscribed) on Thai food and recipes. Good luck with the move!

Thanks for your comments on my blog and good luck with yours. I have only been doing this for about 6 weeks now but its addictive isn’t it. I have added you to my blogroll and will be interested in your recipes.
Lesley
Hi Lesley,
Yes it is quite addicting
I’ve added you to mine as well and I hope you like the upcoming recipes and reports. Good luck to both of us!
Steve,
I love Thai food and one of close friends has been multiple times so much so that now the boyfriend (from Thailand) has moved to the states.
Looking forward to your posts!
Jane
That’s awesome! My wife has been here for over 4 years now and while she appreciates some things about the U.S. she also misses her friends and family quite a bit. Так, we thought heading back to Thailand was a good thing, especially now that we have a daughter and want her to experience her mothers culture. Hope the posts won’t disappoint!
Thanks for visiting my blog Steve and for your kind words.
I’ve added you to my blogroll as well.
Your adventures and pursuits in Thailand sound amazing. I look forward to reading more your experiences there. Perhaps I will try a Thai dessert recipe in the near future!
Cheers and Happy Baking.
Tiff
Hi Tiff,
Thanks for dropping by and leaving some kind words of your own
I’ve also added you to my blogroll and I have to say the Mango Cheesecake from today is a good start…cheesecake not Thai, but mango definitely! I’ll be looking forward to seeing more of your recipes and may be hitting you up for photography tips as well as your photos look scrumptious! If nothing else, maybe once I get to Thailand my photos can inspire you to do some Thai desserts.
Take care,
Steve
Added to the blogroll my dear, looking forward to your posts. Thai food is one of my top 3 favourites.
A huge thanks! Top 3 huh? What are the other two? Mine would have to be Mexican and Italian.
Vietnamese and Japanese.
Japanese I like, but some very strange things sometimes. Vietnamese food is good too (we had Banh Mi for breakfast just yesterday) and chances are I’ll be doing some field trips there considering how close it is to Thailand, so you win twice
Hello Steve,
Thanks for the invitation to join your blogroll. I have updated yours into mine.
Indeed Thai food is very exotic in taste and colorful to the eyes. I am a big fan of Asian food and I always think the cookings uses more of the natural flavorings of spices and herbs rather than processed fat, flavoring and artificial colors. Having said that, I am glad that getting these ingredients is very easy here in the States these days and your blog is a good introduction of this yummy category and I wish you all the best.
Happy Cooking.
Hi there Lily and thanks for stopping by here to comment. I hope that you get some great inspiration from the recipes and (planned) photos from Bangkok (The Big Mango) that I’ll be posting here. And yes, its nice that you can get most of the ingredients here in the States, especially if you live on the west coast or near a major city. Hopefully that will improve even more as I know just a short time ago many of the Thai ingredients would have been difficult to source outside LA or NYC. Welcome aboard and hope to see you here more!
Hey Steve!
I added you to my blogroll as well. It’s great that we can network from a world away. I think it’s also cool that you’re representing Thai food. I agree that it is under represented. It’s so fresh, vibrant, and full of explosive flavor.
I’m looking forward to some good food from you.
Kyle
Hi Kyle,
Thanks for leaving me a comment and I agree it is so cool that we can “meet” from half a world away! I hope I will be able to satisfy your Thai food needs and I’m looking forward to some great stuff from you as well.
–Steve
P.S. You’ve been added to my blogroll as well
